What Family Member’s Say — Eva’s Story

Lloyd his and daughter Eva

My name is Eva; we moved my dad, Lloyd, to Sunridge Gardens a couple of years ago. We have had nothing but positive experiences while we’ve had at Sunridge Gardens.

From the minute we walked in the door, everyone was over-the-top friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and welcoming. So, there was not even a second thought of any other place. We booked in that day and he’s been here ever since, and we just we love it here.

FREEDOM TO COME AND GO

Everyone has been super welcoming. He has his own place and loves it. He’s got his car here. He can come and go as he pleases, which I love. I love the fact that it’s not a problem if I want to come in and pick him up at eight o’clock at night. I just tell reception, ‘Hey, he’s out for the night,’ and we can go.

KNOWN AND SEEN

I love knowing I can go away and they will contact me if there’s an issue.  I can trust him being there and that he is being looked out for. He’s self-sufficient, but knowing someone at Sunridge can pick up the phone and call me and say ‘Hey he’s not having a good day’ or ‘he didn’t come down for lunch,’ having that is huge.

The staff are very knowledgeable, and I love the fact that there’s not a lot of staff turnover. If the staff think he needs something, even if he doesn’t think he needs it, they will contact me. They’re very personable. It’s like a big family. That includes all the other people that live here; they are so sweet. It’s not a huge building, and everybody knows everybody, and they are looking out for each other.
