My name is Harold Hinkleman, but I go by the name of Harry. I’ll be 98 in November. I’m only 97 and a half now. March 21st was 12 years in Sunridge.
Well, I’m an avid Bridge player. I used to go downtown to Timms Center, but that got too much for me so I just play Bridge here at home. We play two or three times a week. And I can also play Bridge on the computer. And I collect postage stamps, and I collect coins, and I read a fair amount. And I go downstairs and, if I’m not playing Bridge, I play Rummy Tiles or something like that. And I’m the backup player for Euchre, which they taught me to play a year over a year ago. So, if their other fellow doesn’t show up on Tuesdays or Thursdays, I’m the backup Euchre player. I don’t have any trouble filling the day in.
I quit driving, it’ll be five years in June. So I miss it a little bit, but with the van here and the bus, it’s no problem. I inherited a scooter, and I go as far as Ralph’s Market because I like their Ambrosia apples and different types of bread. So I go up there every two or three weeks. I have a doctor across the street, and, of course, the mall is over there, and medical-wise, I deal with Shoppers, which is just across the street. So, with the scooter and all the other things that are around here, including the the hospital being so close, you couldn’t ask for a better location.
