On Saturday, June 15 from 11 am to 3 pm Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall and Bria Communities partner for a senior-focused celebration for the whole community. The second annual South Delta Seniors Celebration features live entertainment, an appetizer contest, and displays by vendors and services that are valuable to seniors.
The outdoor event will be held in Rotary Square across from Blenz Coffee and features an outstanding line-up of live musical entertainment by Studio Cloud 30 throughout the day.
At noon, to the side of Rotary stage, the Appie Competition heats up with The Waterford, The Wexford and Augustine House going head to head to see who serves the best appetizer on a stick. The Wexford is defending their trophy, but The Waterford and Augustine House are coming prepared for a fight! The first 50 people in line will get the opportunity to taste the options and vote for their favourite.
For those who are still hungry, Elvis will be serving up hot dogs at Dane’s Disco Hot Dog Party behind hosted by Freedom 55 Financial behind RBC.
More than 20 community agencies and local businesses will be on site with displays, giveaways and resources that serve seniors needs. The mall will be open as usual, with some featuring special offers for seniors. If it rains, all aspects of the event will move inside the mall.
