The mouth-watering smells of street food are back at The Wexford Seniors Community, and that can only mean one thing—it’s time for The Street Food Festival in support of the Alzheimer’s Society of BC.

Global flavours, exciting combinations and sweet treats mean there’s something to tempt your tastebuds. Plus you can enjoy live music, raffles, prizes, and, most importantly, join the fight against Alzheimer’s Disease.
“Since our first fundraiser in 2017, The Wexford has been able to donate more than $26,000 to the Alzheimer Society of BC,” says General Manager Matt Baryluk. “We’ve seen the community rally around this event. Local businesses donate food and prizes, and our neighbours generously participate. It’s a cause that’s close to everyone’s hearts.”
This year’s menu is packed with fresh flavours and local ingredients, prepared by Executive Chef James Steel and his talented team. Every dish is just $5, and every bite helps make a difference.

- Korean BBQ Beef Bao Buns – Soft, pillowy steamed buns packed with bold, sweet, and savoury Korean BBQ flavour.
- Chicken Tikka Masala Skewers – Tender, spiced chicken grilled to perfection and drizzled with a ginger mint yogurt lassi.
- Salish Salmon Smash Cakes – Straight from the Salish Sea, salmon patties and a splash of lemon aioli on the side.
- Mexican Street Corn on the Cob – Charred, smoky, tangy and creamy, this is a treat you won’t want to miss!
- Blueberry & Lemon Vanilla Ice Cream Cone – The ultimate refreshing summer sweet treat to top off your afternoon.
Garth Johannesson will provide the soundtrack to the event with a setlist that spans multiple eras and genres—there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy.
“Our residents, staff team and community really pull together to make this event happen,” says Matt. “We’ve all been impacted by Alzheimer’s disease. It robs us of our friends, neighbours and partners.” Every year, donations from the community make this event possible. Proceeds for each food item go directly to the Alzheimer Society of BC programs that support those living with the disease and contribute to the research efforts to eliminate it. So bring your appetite, your dancing
