The champagne was flowing and the good times were rolling this week as Sunridge Gardens celebrated eight years of excellence in independent seniors living in Langley.

Celebrating a Milestone

“It is very special that we have so many staff and residents who have been here since opening day,” reflected General Manager, Shannon Saunders, during her champagne toast. She went on to commend the staff for their high level of service, “I’m thankful for our staff team who work hard to make Sunridge Gardens a fantastic place for seniors like yourselves to live.”

A Year of Accomplishment

2019 was significant for the Sunridge Gardens team as they received the BC Senior Living Seal of Approval designation for the first time. Saunders is proud of the accomplishment, “The Seal of Approval shows residents, family members and stakeholders our commitment to providing leadership, quality and excellence in the services and support we provide residents in our home,” says Saunders.

A Party To Remember

Sous Chef, Danielle Armfeldt, showed off her pastry skills by serving a stylishly plated blueberry mouse cake that delighted residents. Musical duo, Suede Dogs got everyone tapping their toes and clapping their hands, and lead a conga line through the crowd during a rousing rendition of ‘Tequila!’ Before and after the show, residents celebrated by putting on costumes and getting goofy in the anniversary photo booth.

Congratulations to the staff team and residents for creating a wonderful seniors community in the heart of Langley. Check out the Sunridge Gardens Facebook page to see video of the celebration and photos from the resident photo booth.
