Although the male population here at Magnolia Gardens are not actually our fathers, we, the staff, have developed a close bond with them. This is why we have an annual Fathers’ Day celebration to honour them in June. This year, Michael, our chef, and his team, provided a wonderful lunch with the choice of either tenderloin steak or an open-faced shrimp sandwich with salad and fries. Beer and wine were offered to set the festive mood, and live entertainment was provided by the Suede Dogs.
The recreation team and the general manager all helped out with serving and clearing tables, which added to the special feeling of the event. There were prizes given out to a few lucky men, and everyone enjoyed the day.
