Sunridge Gardens Employees Participate in the Terry Fox Foundation Ice Bucket Challenge

Sunridge Garden takes on an ice bucket challenge for the Terry Fox Foundation.
Terry Fox Foundation Ice Bucket Challenge

For the second time, employees of Sunridge Gardens volunteered to participate in an ice bucket challenge to raise money for the Terry Fox Foundation. Each of the 16 volunteers had their own little box with their picture attached to it. Residents, families and friends could donate money into the boxes of their choice. The three employees whose boxes contained the most money were awarded with a bucket of ice water over their heads. This year’s winners were Chef David Collins, Karolina Linder, Recreation Coordinator and Angela Stinson, Server.

The day started with a wonderful Silver Fox walk with the residents followed by the ice bucket challenge. With the sun shining and our winners dried off , we later enjoyed hotdogs and smoothies in the courtyard.

The total amount of money raised was a whopping $935.30. Thank you to all the employees who volunteered and to everyone who donated to this worthy cause.
